Solutions

Medcura has developed a robust and diverse range of products that innovatively control bleeding. Each of our products is engineered to provide improved bleeding management while creating antibacterial barriers and improved healing environments. Our novel approach to stop post-operative bleeding after routine angiography is merely the first in a growing product line of tools that can assist care providers to improve the lives under their care.

Many patients experience an increased bleeding nuisance from even routine cuts and scrapes. We’ve developed a line of products for both this underserved market and for everyone who wants higher performance first aid under an antibacterial barrier2-5.

LifeFoam™

Non-compressible internal bleeding, generally in the abdomen, is the largest cost of life in combat for US troops. This is bleeding that is not addressable by direct pressure by either gauze or tourniquet, and that is particularly difficult to treat on the battlefield. In response to a request from the US Military, we’ve created LifeFoam™, a self-expanding injectable biopolymer foam which can be rapidly delivered into a closed cavity to treat internal non-specific hemorrhage.

LifeGel™

Over 310 million surgeries6 are estimated to occur annually worldwide. To address this critical unmet need, we are building LifeGel™, a transparent, easy-to-apply gel which has no special storage requirements and is highly effective at treating bleeding from parancyhmal tissue in both open and minimally invasive interventions.
